Sky & Telescope and TravelQuest International are pleased to invite you to join us on the first Sky & Telescope Astronomy Symposium at Sea. Share your love of the hobby with fellow astronomy enthusiasts while you cruise in luxury and enjoy the majestic beauty of the Hawaiian Islands. After we embark in Los Angeles, we'll spend two weeks together aboard Princess Cruisess Regal Princess as we travel to the Aloha State and back.

Our 15-day voyage will begin with four full days at sea, during which you'll be treated to a robust astronomically themed symposium covering a wide

breadth of topics. Sky & Telescopes elite team of authors and editors will be sharing their expert knowledge and advice about a host of topics ranging from astrophotography to space-science discoveries to backyard-observing tips and techniques.

Guests not participating in the Astronomy Symposium will have plenty to do! Swim or relax by the many pools, indulge in spa services, catch a first-run movie, or learn how to golf or scuba dive. Also, Princess ScholarShip@Sea Program offers passengers the opportunity to learn new skills or update their knowledge on a variety of topics, including cooking, visual arts, computer skills, photography, and ceramics.

In addition to the Astronomy Symposium, we have arranged a very special add-on excursion available only to guests of Sky & Telescope/TravelQuest! During our visit to the Big Island of Hawaii, you have the option of joining our exclusive VIP visit to the Mauna Kea Observatories.

After our explorations of the islands, well return our attention to the Astronomy Symposium during our 4-day voyage back to the mainland. Whats more, this portion of the cruise will occur at new Moon and during the annual Perseid meteor shower largely touted as the year's finest shooting-star spectacle! Don't miss this rare opportunity to see more than 60 meteors per hour from the deck of a cruise ship in the middle of the Pacific Ocean, without the glare of city lights or moonlight obscuring the view.

Make your reservation before January 1, 2007, and receive the early booking discount of $25 per person off the Astronomy Symposium fee.
