Day 6 – Thu, Dec. 5 Tzaneen– Kruger National Park                         B/L/D

After breakfast we will begin our journey to Kruger National Park, stopping enroute for lunch in Tzaneen. This town lies in a hollow on the banks of the Letaba River, a bustling mountain torrent, flanked by some of the most productive farms in the Southern Hemisphere. Tea, all kinds of tropical fruits, vegetables, and enormous quantities of timber are produced in this area.
After lunch we’ll continue on to our lodge just outside Kruger National Park, South Africa’s premier wildlife sanctuary. Covering more than 7,720 square miles, Kruger is home to approximately 140 mammal species, including the Big Five: lion, elephant, leopard, buffalo, and rhino. Over 500 bird species have been recorded here.
Overnight:Lantana Lodge (three nights).

Day 7 – Fri, Dec. 6 Kruger National Park                                            B/L/D

Our first day on safari will begin at sunrise, the best time to see large cats — lion, cheetah and leopard — and wild dogs returning from the nighttime hunt. Our specially designed open four-wheel drive safari vehicles provide excellent platforms for up close photography. Expert rangers will guide us in spotting the amazing variety of game for which this park is famous. We will enjoy breakfast and lunch in the bush before continuing our afternoon game drive. Later in the day be on the lookout for larger mammals such as hippo, zebra, wildebeest, impala, giraffe, and elephant. Bring your camera!
