Just seventeen months after the June 2001 total solar eclipse, the Moon’s shadow will once again pass over Southern Africa on December 4, 2002. TravelQuest International and Sky & Telescope invite you to join us for a very special land-based tour to the northern reaches of South Africa, where we will observe the eclipse from our private centerline location.

Besides observing the eclipse, we will enjoy three nights of southern-sky stargazing in the dark African bush, visit the 200,000-year-old Tswaing Meteor Crater, and take a special behind-the-scenes tour of Cape Town Observatory, founded in 1821.

In addition to all this we'll spend two full days on safari at world famous Kruger National Park - South Africa's premier wildlife reserve - and two nights in beautiful Cape Town.

For those of you who missed the African eclipse in 2001, here is your opportunity to experience wild Africa. Also, keep in mind that this is the last easily accessible eclipse until 2006. Don't miss out - make your reservations today by calling (800) 830-1998!
